Lady GaGa Mocks Her Feud With Madonna, Envisions Her Lonely Future on 'SNL'
TV

GaGa plays her future self who desperately tries to make a building superintendent recognize her as a superstar, back in the day.

AceShowbiz - Lady GaGa poked fun at herself during her first hosting stint on "Saturday Night Live" in the November 16 episode. During her opening monologue, she sang her hit song "Applause", which segued into "New York, New York", and asked the audience to clap their hands at everything and anything.

She later used a sketch to address her feud with Madonna and the controversy surrounding the similarity between her song "Born This Way" and Madge's "Express Yourself". In the skit, Taran Killam's Adam Duritz promoted an album, "WHAAAT? The Worst Cover Songs of All Time", which featured covers by unlikely performers.

Noel Wells' Britney Spears took on Leonard Cohen's ballad "Hallelujah", Kenan Thompson's Rick Ross did a funny version of Anna Kendrick's "Cups", and Cecily Strong's Lana Del Rey and Bobby Moynihan's Nathan Lane did Shaggy's "It Wasn't Me". GaGa was introduced as an artist to cover Madonna's "Express Yourself", but she instead sang her own song "Born This Way".

In another sketch, the Mother Monster playfully envisioned her future. She played an older version of herself, who desperately tried to get the attention of a building superintendent played by Kenan Thompson. She played a bit of her hits on the piano, but he could not remember her. He only recognized "Born This Way" as a "jingle for laser toilet cleaners."

GaGa also took a jab at her extravagant costumes in a sketch titled "Waking Up With Kimye". She played a nerdy Apple store employee who was called to fix Kim Kardashian's (Nasim Pedrad) laptop. The two ladies compared their outfits, before GaGa said to the camera, "Honestly, I don't care about fashion. I think people who try too hard with their outfits are maybe hiding something. Like come on, dress like a person."

GaGa also served as a musical guest in the latest edition of "SNL", performing "Do What U Want" with R. Kelly and sang "Gypsy" while playing the piano.
