Mitchell, who is believed to be the last adult surviving cast member of popular sitcom 'I Love Lucy', passes away because of heart failure in Westwood, Calif.

AceShowbiz - Actress Shirley Mitchell, who took part in popular 1950s sitcom "I Love Lucy" as Lucy Ricardo's friend Marion Strong, has passed away. Believed to be the last remaining adult cast member of the show, Mitchell died on November 11.
Mitchell's sister-in-law, Oscar-nominated actress Nancy Olson, told The Hollywood Reporter that the actress died of heart attack at her condominium in Westwood, California. She was 94.
In addition to her role on "I Love Lucy", Mitchell played Mae Belle Jennings on "Pettycoat Junction" and Marge Thornton on "Please Don't Eat the Daisies" as well as recurring roles on variety shows. Her movie credits included "Jamboree", "Desk Set" and "Big Business". Her last appearance in big screen was in 1989's "War of the Roses", where she played alongside Michael Douglas and Kathleen Turner.
Mitchell was the widow of three-time Oscar-winning composer Jay Livingston, who passed away in 2001. "Que Sera Sera (Whatever Will Be Will Be)", "Mona Lisa" and a theme from "Bonanza" probably are his most popular works. Mitchell is survived by Olson and two children.
