AceShowbiz - Ylvis has signed a picture book deal with Simon & Schuster Books for Young Readers. The Norwegian comedy duo will make a children's book based on their viral hit, "The Fox (What Does the Fox Say?)".

Simon & Schuster Children's Publishing president Jon Anderson negotiated the deal with the Creative Artists Agency. Authored by Ylvis with illustrations by Svein Nyhus, the 32-page book will cost $17.99. The book is scheduled to hit the shelves on December 10.

Anderson has commented on his company's partnership with brothers Bard Ylvisaker and Vegard Ylvisaker. "I cannot tell you how many times I've watched Ylvis' hilarious, mesmerizing, unforgettable 'The Fox'," he said in a statement.

"The lyrics and playfulness of the song lend themselves perfectly to the picture book format, and I'm ecstatic that Simon & Schuster is publishing Bard and Vegard's first book," he added. "Parents and kids are going to have an absolute blast reading What Does the Fox Say? out loud."

Featuring lyrics like "Ring-ding-ding-ding-dingeringeding" and "Hatee-hatee-hatee-ho," Ylvis' "The Fox" has so far garnered more than 210 million YouTube views. The hilarious track was parodied by Kerry Washington and Jay Pharoah in an episode of "Saturday Night Live" that aired earlier this month.
