Beyonce, who learned of the mother of two's story, gives a shout-out via her Facebook, writing, 'Deborah, you are awesome!'

AceShowbiz - An inspiring video of a patient dancing to Beyonce Knowles' "Get Me Bodied" in the Mt. Zion operating room recently went viral. The woman, 44-year-old Deborah Cohan, was scheduled to undergo double mastectomy surgery on November 5. Instead of succumbing to sadness, she chose to face the surgery in more positive outlook, asking her surgical and anesthesia teams to join her in a fun flash mob dance.

"No one was against it," Cohan said in an interview with Right This Minute. "In fact, I was more nervous about how the flash mob was going to go than how the surgery was going to go." Cohan, who is an obstetrician/gynecologist, said of dancing, "I'm really best able to tap into my inner soul through dancing. Dancing feeds my soul and is also a window into my soul."

Cohan also asked her family members, friends and colleagues to join the flash mob wherever they were because the video would help her through her recovery. "My fantasy is for you to play the song and dance wherever you happen to be (in the kitchen, the carwash, subway platform, classroom, Labor and Delivery unit, wherever!)," she wrote on her Caring Bridge page. "I have visions of a healing video montage. Nothing brings me greater joy than catalyzing others to dance, move, be in their bodies. Are you with me people?"

In the video, Cohan can be seen bringing out her best moves in her hospital gown, joined by the medical teams. The surgery went well and Cohan now is recovering at home. "I am doing great. I'm feeling very spiritually fulfilled. It's been an amazing flood of love," she said.

Beyonce, who knew of the inspiring video, gave Cohen a shout-out via Facebook. "Deborah, you are awesome!" Jay-Z's wife wrote.
