The 'I Knew You Were Trouble' singer will follow the footstep of fellow country singer Garth Brooks, who received the first Pinnacle Award back in 2005.

AceShowbiz - Taylor Swift is already a winner at the upcoming Country Music Association Awards. The 23-year-old country star is set to receive the rare Pinnacle Award for her worldwide success and her contribution to country music.

Swift will accept the award on November 6, during the 47th Country Music Awards ceremony in Nashville, Tennessee. Interestingly, the "I Knew You Were Trouble" crooner will become the second person to receive the honor.

The Pinnacle Award was created in 2005 to "recognize an artist who has achieved both national and international prominence through concert performances and record sales at levels unique in Country Music." Garth Brooks is the first artist to win the award.

"I can't think of a better opportunity than 'Country Music's Biggest Night' to present an award of this magnitude to an artist of this caliber," said CMA President of the Board, Ed Hardy. "I've known Taylor since she was 16. She came to my office with her Mom to play her music and I was amazed. Taylor's outstanding career epitomizes the definition of the Pinnacle Award."

In addition to receiving the award, Swift will battle against other country singers in six categories that include Entertainer of the Year and Female Vocalist of the Year. Swift will also take the stage at the annual event to perform with the likes of Vince Gill, Alison Krauss, Sam Bush, Edgar Meyer and Eric Darken.
