The British singer says that the new song, which fans have called 'So in Love', is written following this year's Grammy Awards, when lots of people were 'talking s**t.'

AceShowbiz - Ed Sheeran has finally hit the stage at New York City's Madison Square Garden for his own headlining show. On Tuesday night, October 29, which marked the first of his three shows at the iconic venue, the British gingerhead treated fans with a new song.

Before performing the never-heard-before tune, Sheeran revealed that he wrote it after the February Grammy Awards. "I was in a situation at the Grammys and everything was happening all at once," he told the audience.

"There was a lot of people around me talking a lot of s**t and I found the only sense that was coming out of anyone's lips was this one person, and I wrote a song about it," he continued and later sang the song while playing his guitar.

He didn't confirm the title, but fans called the song "So in Love". Sheeran then took to Twitter to share what could be the real title of the track. "Tenerife Sea," he simply wrote.

There's still no word whether or not the new song will be featured in Sheeran's new album, which is currently in the works. Sheeran, who recently completed his tour with Taylor Swift, will continue his Square Garden show on November 1 and November 7.
