In addition to becoming the pop singer's second No. 1 album, 'Prism' posts the largest sales week of 2013 for a female artist.

AceShowbiz - Katy Perry's "Prism" has found its way out to No. 1 on Billboard 200. Nielsen SoundScan reports that the album has sold 286,000 copies in its first week, giving the pop singer her best sales week to date.

"Prism" marks Perry's second No.1 album on the chart with her 2010 effort, "Teenage Dream", being the first. The "Roar" hitmaker's new release also manages to surpass Miley Cyrus' "Bangerz", which opened at No. 1 earlier this month with 270,000 copies, for this year's biggest sales week among female artists.

Right behind Perry's new album, last week's first placer Pearl Jam's "Lightning Bolt" sells 46,000 copies in its second week. Drake's "Nothing Was the Same" rises from No. 4 to No. 3 with 44,000 copies.

At No. 4, Cyrus' "Bangerz" falls from No.2 with 43,000. Lorde's "Pure Heroine" rounds up the top 5, going up from last week's No. 7 with 40,000.

Fifth Harmony's EP, "Better Together", arrives at No. 6 with 28,000. The group's new set is now the highest-charting debut on Billboard 200 from an alum of "The X Factor (US)", beating Emblem3's "Nothing to Lose" album which debuted and peaked at No. 7 back in August.

DJ Khaled's "Suffering From Success" enters the chart at No. 7 with 27,000. Justin Timberlake returns to the top 10 with "The 20/20 Experience - 2 of 2". The second part of successful "The 20/20 Experience", which was released earlier this year, is placed eighth with 26,000.

AFI's "Burials" becomes the last newcomer in the top 10. Debuting at No. 9, the follow-up to 2009's "Crash Love" has sold 25,000 in its first week. Luke Bryan's "Crash My Party" goes up from No. 12 to No. 10 with nearly 25,000 copies.
