Report: Helen Flanagan and Kate Upton In Talks to Play the Next Bond Girl
Movie

The 'Coronation Street' actress and the Sport Illustrated Swimsuit model are allegedly the frontrunners to play Bond's new girl in the 'Skyfall' follow-up.

AceShowbiz - Audition for the upcoming 24th installment of James Bond movie has reportedly begun. Rumor has it, Helen Flanagan ("Coronation Street") is among the top contenders along with Sport Illustrated Swimsuit model Kate Upton to play the Bond girl.

According to The Sun, U.K. soap opera star Flanagan has met with casting directors in Los Angeles for audition and impressed them during her audition. "They felt she (Helen) had a unique look, great figure and natural charm on screen," a source says.

Penelope Cruz, who's married to "Skyfall" villain actor Javier Bardem, was previously rumored circling the coveted role. But the report was quickly denied. She "is not in talks to be a Bond girl in a James Bond movie," a rep said. "The stories are totally false."

Upton herself once did express her interest to star in the 007 spy agent film. "It's a very prestigious title, and it would be a very cool role," she said during a red-carpet event last year. "I would need to go through some intense training to learn all the Bond Girl moves."

"Bond 24" is due November 6, 2015. Daniel Craig (the 007 agent), Ralph Fiennes (M), Naomie Harris (Eve Moneypenny), and Ben Whishaw (Q) are expected to reprise their respective roles. Sam Mendes is also back to his post as a director.
