Following the accident, Aldean says, 'With a heavy heart, I'm sad to say that a man passed away last night after stepping out in front of my bus in Indiana.'

AceShowbiz - Jason Aldean's tour bus hit a man on early Monday morning, October 28 in Knox County, Indiana. Sheriff Michael Morris said that the man, who was identified as Albert Kennedy, walked into the middle of the northbound lanes of US 41 as the bus passed.

The man suffered from severe head and chest injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The officials believed the death was an accident. The country star, who was in the bus when the accident happened, released a statement via Facebook, Twitter and WhoSay.

"With a heavy heart, I'm sad to say that a man passed away last night after stepping out in front of my bus in Indiana," he wrote. "In all the years I've been touring and all the miles we've driven, nothing prepares you for something like this to happen. I'm praying for Albert Kennedy's family and friends today and ask that you do the same."

On Friday, the "Only Way I Know" singer performed in New Orleans and made a $575,826 donation for local chapter of the Susan G. Komen Foundation which provides grants for breast cancer screening, treatment and education programs. He was scheduled to perform in Dallas on Saturday night, but the show was canceled due to bad weather. "Sorry we had to cancel Dallas tonite. Not my decision!!!! Was lookin forward to the last nite of the tour. Promise we will be back ASAP," he told his 1.8 million Twitter followers.
