October 24, 2013, 8:09 am GMT

The new self-directed clip sees colorful animations of trees, leaves and snow being projected onto the Australian singer/songwriter's body.

Lenka has released a brand new music video for her latest single called "After the Winter". The video was self-directed by the Australian singer/songwriter. While for the animations, Lenka is helped by visual artist James Gulliver Hancock.

The three-and-a-half-minute video is simple and beautiful. It features colorful animations of trees, leaves, snow and other things being projected onto Lenka's body, a wall behind her and the pages of a book.

Donning white outfit, Lenka is seen singing and dancing alone to the slow-tempo song. "Oh, darling just remember/ That everything will soon be new, because/ After the winter comes the spring/ That is when the blue birds/ Start to use their wings/ And you can always count on this/ After the winter comes the spring," she sings the chorus.

"After the Winter" was co-written by Lenka and Paul Herman. The track is featured in "Shadows", the singer's third studio album which was released back in June. The record has already generated two singles, "Heart to the Party" and "Nothing Here but Love".
