'Captain America: The Winter Soldier' Gets Extended 1-Minute Preview
Movie

The new video sees Captain America in physical and emotional battle as he's trying to save the world and struggling to understand people's views in the modern society.

AceShowbiz - A much longer sneak peek video for "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" has just been unearthed in anticipation of the official teaser trailer due Thursday, October 24. While the previous preview only offered short glimpses of the main characters, this new one courtesy of Entertainment Tonight features a lot more footage.

The Cap getting into a fight with Winter Soldier, gun-toting Black Widow kicking some ass, and Falcon spreading his wings out as he's being chased by jets are some of the action scenes shown in the video. While the titular hero seems to fend off his opponents just fine, he finds it difficult to understand the morally murky world post "The Avengers".

Nick Fury says at one point, "We have to deal with the world as it is, not how we'd like it to be," to which Steve Rogers responds, "That's not freedom. That's fear." The World War II veteran also meets S.H.I.E.L.D.'s senior leader Alexander Pierce who says, "To build a better world sometimes means tearing the old one down."

In the next film, Captain America is still struggling to adapt to the modern world. But when a S.H.I.E.L.D. colleague comes under attack, he becomes embroiled in a web of intrigue that threatens to put the world at risk. While trying to expose the ever-widening conspiracy, he has to fend off professional assassins sent to silence him at every turn.

Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson and Samuel L. Jackson are back as the Cap, the Widow and Fury respectively. Anthony Mackie will star as Falcon, Robert Redford as Pierce, and Sebastian Stan as James "Bucky" Barnes, the Cap's World War II sidekick who was brought back from the dead and turned into a brainwashed assassin.

The film will hit theaters in North America on April 4, 2014.
