Idris Elba Denies 'Jurassic World' Casting Rumor
Movie

A publicist for the 'Pacific Rim' actor shoots down the rumor saying that Elba is in talks for the fourth 'Jurassic Park' movie.

AceShowbiz - Fans can remove Idris Elba from the shortlist of potential actors in "Jurassic World". After report spreads like wild fire that the Heimdall of "Thor" was in talks to join the cast of the long-developed movie, his publicist says the story is not true.

Rumor of Elba's casting for the fourth installment of the "Jurassic Park" film franchise first appeared on two sites, Jurassic World Movie News and Acting Auditions. The latter even wrote that Elba and "Melissa & Joey" star Nick Robinson "round out the first actors cast."

The British star wasn't the only famous actor linked to the project. Josh Brolin, Bryce Dallas Howard and young stars Ty Simpkins ("Insidious") were previously mentioned as candidates to star in the movie.

Colin Trevorrow is on board to direct the follow-up to 2001's "Jurassic Park III", which is said to feature a new dinosaur. Other plot details are not available just yet.

Idris Elba landed a recurring role on NBC's "The Office" and will next appear as the title character in "Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom". He will also return to reprise his role as Heimdall in "Thor: The Dark World".
