AceShowbiz - On Monday, October 21, rapper Kanye West gifted Kim Kardashian with a big surprise, proposing to her right on her 33rd birthday in front of family and friends at San Francisco's AT&T Park which the rapper rented out just for the occasion, E! News reports. This surely beat the birthday cake he surprised her with last year at the Angel Ball in New York City.
The proposal came four months after Kardashian gave birth to their baby daughter North last June 15 who also came into the couple's life shortly after they went public with their romance in 2012. It will be the first marriage for West and the third for the Kardashian, who finalized her divorce with husband NBA player Kris Humphries last June just after 72 days of marriage.
Kimye's engagement is regarded as welcome good news amidst recent marriage troubles for the other members of the Kardashian clan. Kardashian's mom Kris Jenner has announced her separation with husband Bruce Jenner while her sister Khloe Kardashian is barely hanging on to her marriage with basketball star Lamar Odom as he deals with his drug addiction problems.
Speaking of the Kardashians, despite their famous family member Kim being already twice-divorced, the celebrity family is expected to be excited about her engagement with West whom they "adored" knowing he will make an amazing partner for Kim. She has opened up about not having "a sense of urgency" about entering another marriage after two failed ones but was just happy with having her "best friend" Kanye by her side helping her "through all my tough experiences."
