The 'Umbrella' singer was shown the door because she took pictures 'that do not conform with the conditions and regulations' at the religious building.

AceShowbiz - Rihanna, who uploaded several photos from her visit to Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi on her Instagram page over the weekend, was asked to leave the religious building after the photo shoot. The "Diamonds" singer was covered up and wore a head scarf, but officials at the mosque had issues with her pose as they deemed it inappropriate.

"In the event of behavior that violates the moral codes of access to the mosque, or other visit regulations - such as taking inappropriate pictures, posing in ways that are improper in the context of sacred place, talking loudly, or eating - the violators are directed in a polite manner that reflects the civilisational and tolerant attributes of Islam," a statement from the officials reads, as quoted by Middle Eastern newspaper The National Post.

"Here, the Center refers to a recent incident, involving a singer who came for a private visit to the mosque, at a gate that is not reserved for visitors, without prior coordination with the Center's management and without identifying herself," the statement reads further.

"She left without entering the mosque, after being asked to do so, due to the fact that she had taken some pictures that do not conform with the conditions and regulations put in place by the Center's management to regulate visits in a way that takes the status and sanctity of the mosque into consideration," the statement added.

Several photos which she shared on Instagram over the weekend show her striking some poses outside the building. In one photo, she can be seen lying on her back near a water feature. Another photo shows her posing with one hand on her hip as worshipers pass by. She wore bright red lipstick during the visit.
