Greiner slams Wahlberg's remarks that suggested the film project couldn't take off because 'greedy' actors demanded unreasonably bigger paycheck.

AceShowbiz - Adrian Grenier broke silence after Mark Wahlberg seemed to call out the "Entourage" cast as "greedy" when the rapper-turned-actor was asked about the long-gestating project to bring the show to the big screen. "To all Entourage fans. I owe it to you to make a couple things clear," Greiner wrote on Instagram.
"I take my role as Vince on the show & off very seriously. All decisions I make personally & for business are for the principle of friendship and brotherhood. It has, & never will be about the money for me. I promise. I will always stand up for the boys (that includes you) & do what I can to make sure they are treated fairly, and not be taken advantage of by anybody."
"The spirit of Entourage is about sharing the opportunities given to us and I will sign any deal that gives ALL the boys an opportunity to share in the upside of success EQUALLY. I assure you, despite the perception, there is no greed in my heart. Remember, it will all work out in the end. It always does. -- I will try to answer questions with hashtag #entourageboysshare," he added.
The movie has been long in development since the show, which was based on Wahlberg's experiences as an up-and-coming actor, ended in 2011. When Kevin Connolly brought it up and asked about the status of the film on Twitter in August this year, creator Doug Ellin replied, "Trying to get everyone on board. Ain't easy."
Wahlberg later cited money issues as the reason behind the held-up, "As soon as the guys stop being so greedy. It's one of those things where, if the movie is a success, we'll get to make a lot more of them and we might get to make a lot of money, but we want to make it for the fans. This is the most I've ever been asked about for a movie."
The show starred Grenier, Connolly, Jeremy Piven, Kevin Dillon and Jerry Ferrara. Connolly reportedly is among the actors who have committed to do the movie, while Greiner is among those who haven't.
In a new chat with TMZ, Connolly assures that the film is happening, despite the alleged woes. All the main actors are in and they are expected to start production in January, so he says. Other cast members haven't made any comment just yet.
