Leonardo DiCaprio to Bring Jo Nesbo's 'Blood on Snow' to Big Screen

The 'J. Edgar' actor will produce and possibly star in a Warner Bros. adaptation of the Norwegian crime novel.

AceShowbiz - Leonardo DiCaprio is adapting Jo Nesbo's new book "Blood on Snow", Deadline reports. Warner Bros. is close to acquiring film rights to the novel with the "Django Unchained" actor as a producer. He could also potentially star in the upcoming movie adaptation.

Written under Nesbo's pseudonym Tom Johansson, "Blood on Snow" revolves around a contract killer who falls for his boss' wife after being assigned to assassinate her. The book is slated to be released in autumn 2014 with the sequel scheduled for spring 2015.

DiCaprio was last seen in Baz Luhrmann's "The Great Gatsby", an adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald's 1925 novel of the same name. He will next star in Martin Scorsese's "The Wolf of Wall Street", playing a NY stockbroker who refuses to cooperate in securities fraud case involving mob infiltration.
