AceShowbiz - Taylor Swift has released a new single, "Sweeter Than Fiction". The track, which the 23-year-old pop/country crooner co-wrote with fun.'s guitarist Jack Antonoff, can now be downloaded on iTunes.

The new song is a poppy, catchy and sweet tune that features Swift singing from the point of view of a fan. She sings about the rise and fall of a super-talented star who builds his career from zero.

"Seen you fall, seen you crawl on you knees/ Seen you lost in a crowd, seen you colors fade/ Wish I could make it better/ Someday you won't remember/ This pain you thought would last forever and ever," Swift coos. "There you stand, ten feet tall/ I will say, 'I knew it all along'/ Your eyes are wider than distance/ This life is sweeter than fiction."

"Sweeter Than Fiction" serves as the soundtrack to "One Chance", an upcoming film that follows the inspirational journey of "Britain's Got Talent" alum Paul Potts. The song will be played during the movie's final credit.

This is Swift's first musical release since dropping her latest album, "Red", late last year. The "I Knew You Were Trouble" hitmaker has confirmed that the follow-up to the chart-topping album is currently in the works.

Swift recently revealed what to expect from the upcoming record. She said, "I think the goal for the next album is to continue to change, and never change in the same way twice."

"How do I write these figurative diary entries in ways that I've never written them before and to a sonic backdrop that I've never explored before? It's my fifth album, which is crazy to think about, but I think what I'm noticing about it so far is it's definitely taking a different turn than anything I've done before," she continued.
