Vince Gilligan reveals that the Walter White and the Jesse Pinkman of the hit series are interested in making appearances on 'Better Call Saul'.

AceShowbiz - Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul's days of portraying Walter White and Jesse Pinkman respectively may not be completely over yet. "Breaking Bad" creator Vince Gilligan says in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter that both actors have expressed interest in doing cameos for the spin-off, "Better Call Saul".
"The sky's the limit with a prequel," he teases about the possible appearances of "Breaking Bad" characters besides Saul Goodman. "Everybody who's now deceased in the 'Breaking Bad' world is obviously still alive. You never know who might turn up and when and where."
He adds that Jonathan Banks' Mike Ehrmantraut, Saul's former private detective, could have a bigger role on the spin-off. "I could definitely see a version of this where Mike Ehrmantraut is an important part of this series," he says.
Gilligan plans to direct the pilot of "Better Call Saul", which will be filmed in Albuquerque , and wants to reunite as many as "Breaking Bad" crew members for the new show. "That's a big draw for me," he says. "To 'get the band back together,' as the Blues Brothers said."
As for the nature of the upcoming series, he reveals that it will be more comedic than "Breaking Bad", but still have dramatic elements. He goes on sharing, "We've only seen Saul in his professional habitat. It will be interesting to see a more personal, intimate side of Saul Goodman."
AMC has nabbed "Better Call Saul" and eyes a late summer or early fall of 2014 debut. Bob Odenkirk will reprise his role as Saul Goodman, the criminally talented lawyer of Walter White.
