It's lead actor Stephen Amell himself who shares pictures of Caity Lotz as The Canary on The CW series.

AceShowbiz - How Black Canary will be brought onto television by Caity Lotz has been unveiled in new pictures from "Arrow". Series star Stephen Amell tweeted one of the photos and posted the other on his Facebook page. Both images feature him as the hooded hero with Lotz's The Canary next to him.

After the casting was announced, executive producer Andrew Kreisberg told TV Guide that the CW show would feature the origin story of The Canary. "Everyone knows that Laurel Lance is the Black Canary ... But how we get from A to B is the story of our show," he said.

"Laurel Lance right now is a lawyer with a lot of heart and a lot of humanity and courage. But it takes more than that to put on the mask and go out and fight crime. Our series is the evolution of that."

He continued, "People will see how Caity Lotz fits into Laurel's journey along the way. For us, it's very emotional and surprising and exciting. I would say to everybody, we haven't let you down so far. Keep going on this ride with us."

"Arrow" will introduce The Canary in "Crucible" slated to air Wednesday, October 30. When Oliver discovers a man who goes by the name "The Mayor" (guest star Cle Bennett) is bringing illegal guns in to The Glades, he sponsors a "Cash for Guns" event to help clean up the city. Unfortunately, The Mayor crashes the event with his gang and seriously injures Sin (guest star Bex Taylor-Klaus).

The Canary is furious when she learns her friend is in the hospital and sets out for revenge. Meanwhile, Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) stuns Oliver with a bit of information about the Canary, Donner (guest star Dylan Bruce) asks Laurel (Katie Cassidy) to dinner, and Diggle (David Ramsey) reconnects with an old friend.
