The Daily Bugle mentions in its latest news report that the Oscorp company is having a robotic project led by Spencer Smythe and developing 'a flight harness for the military.'

AceShowbiz - Spidey could face off more than one baddie in "The Amazing Spider-Man 2". The Daily Bugle, a fictional New York City newspaper in the Marvel Universe, posted on its Tumblr run by Sony Pictures a news story that seems to give hints about Spider-Slayers and The Vulture being secret villains.

The fake news report gives updates on the Spidey world after the events that happened in "The Amazing Spider-Man". The tabloid mentions Spencer Smythe, a scientist known for creating the robotic Slayers, and teases the development of a certain utility strongly associated with the Vulture.

"Despite the assault on Oscorp Tower two weeks ago and the revelation that disgruntled Oscorp employee, Dr. Curt Connors, was responsible for the attack, Oscorp's stock has climbed four points," the newspaper begins its report. "Oscorp spokesman Douglas Menken provided some details from the meeting, including that the construction on the prototype alternative energy power plant, complete with hydroelectric tower, is on schedule for completion within the next year."

"Other highlights included a preview of a flight harness for the military and significant advancements in robotics by the head of the engineering division, Spencer Smythe," it continues. "Oscorp personnel dismissed questions regarding Norman Osborn's health and whether the company's estranged heir apparent, Harry Osborn, is up to the task of running his father's conglomerate."

"Menken stated, 'Between the disappearance of Dr. Rajit Ratha, the rogue actions of a very unstable former employee and Norman Osborn's health concerns, everyone in the media will cry the sky is falling, but just the opposite is true. While everyone else ducks for cover, Oscorp is always reaching for the stars.' "

The second installment of the rebooted "Spider-Man" film series is set to be released in the U.S on May 2, 2014. Sony Pictures reportedly has tested three possible titles for the upcoming sequel. "Amazing Spider-Man: The Price of Power" and "Amazing Spider-Man: With Great Power" are among them.

Marc Webb reprises his role as the director, while Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone are back as Peter Parker and Gwen Stacy respectively. Dane DeHaan stars as Harry Osborn, Jamie Foxx as the villainous Electro, and Paul Giamatti as The Rhino.

Foxx once said there were discussions to bring together the infamous Sinister Six. Giamatti later confirmed he would return for "The Amazing Spider-Man 3" slated for June 10, 2016, but he was not sure about "The Amazing Spider-Man 4" due May 4, 2018.
