In an interview with a British radio station, the former Disney star reveals that the new album's title consists of her first and middle name.

AceShowbiz - Britney Spears' highly-anticipated new album has a title. In a new interview with British radio station Capital FM, the 31-year-old singer revealed that the follow-up to 2011's "Femme Fatale" would be called "Britney Jean".

The album's title consists of the diva's first and middle name. "It's a personal album, and all my family, they all call me Britney Jean," Spears told the radio on Tuesday, October 15. "It's like a term of endearment, and I just wanted to share that with my fans."

Marking Spears' eighth studio album, "Britney Jean" is scheduled to hit the stores on December 3. The record has so far spawned a hit single, "Work B**ch", which is currently sitting at No. 13 on Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Will.i.am, who executive produces Spears' forthcoming release, recently told Billboard that the track was not a reflection of the whole album. "The album is what the album is, but we felt that song needed to come out to keep the foundation on what Britney represents," he explained. "But it shouldn't reflect the album, the album is a body of work as a collective."

"If we had to pick a song like, 'Oh, what song fits every color of the record', you shouldn't do that," he added. "We felt that song represents 'Piece of Me', that Britney oomph."
