AceShowbiz - "The Walking Dead" continues outperforming itself. The fourth season premiere of the post-apocalyptic series delivered 16.1 million total viewers and 10.4 million viewers in adults 18-49 demo, breaking the show's previous records set by the season 3 finale with 12.4 million total viewers and 8.1 million viewers 18-49.
Season to date, the Sunday, October 13 episode ranks as the No.1 telecast in adults 18-49 among other programs, including "Sunday Night Football". With time-shifted playback, the season 4 opener should exceed 20 million viewers.

"The Walking Dead" big return boosted its companion show, "Talking Dead", which became the most viewed premiere in series history with 5.1 million viewers, including 3.3 million adults aged 18-49.
