AceShowbiz - Jennifer Love Hewitt celebrated her baby shower with friends and family on Saturday, October 12 at the Hotel Bel Air in Los Angeles, California. The "Garfield" actress donned a yellow strapless dress at the fun event. Her hair was styled loose.
"It was a gender neutral party with a black and yellow theme," a source told Us Weekly. "The patio was decorated with black and yellow balloons and signs with words like 'Giggle,' 'Love,' 'Hiccup' and 'Crawl' were placed on easels around the area."
A DJ performed to entertain about 30 guests. They enjoyed bruschetta, pizza and cupcakes and drank champagne. The guests also had a chance to mix their own scents at a scent bar. Many of them brought presents such as books, baby blankets and bath toys.
The baby's daddy Brian Hallisay joined Jennifer at the end of the bash. "They hugged and kissed and he whispered in her ear. They joined family and friends at a table in the bar for drinks and more food," the source added. The guests got chocolate cookies with a message from Brian as they left. "Thank you for sharing in this important occasion with us. Love, Brian," the handwritten message read. The pregnant star commented, "That was a great shower. So beautiful."
Jennifer and her co-star on "The Client List" announced in July that they were expecting their first child. "We're so thrilled and happy to start a family," they said at that time. The parents-to-be, however, chose not to know the baby's sex ahead of time.
