AceShowbiz - The full nominations of 2013 American Music Awards have been announced. Macklemore & Ryan Lewis leads the pack with six nominations in categories that include Artist of the Year, New Artist of the Year, Favorite Band/Duo/Group and Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Artist.
Their hit track called "Thrift Shop" is competing with Florida Georgia Line's "Cruise" and Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines" in Single of the Year category. The rap duo's album, "The Heist", is vying for the top prize in Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Album category. It battles with Jay-Z's "Magna Carta... Holy Grail" and Kendrick Lamar's "good kid, m.A.A.d city".
Macklemore & Ryan Lewis is followed by Taylor Swift and Justin Timberlake, who score five nods each. Swift, who is also up for Artist of the Year, will compete against Pink and Rihanna for Favorite Pop/Rock Female Artist. The 23-year-old entertainer is also nominated for Favorite Country Female Artist alongside Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood.
Timberlake receives nods for Favorite Male Artist in both the Pop/Rock and Soul/R&B categories. Meanwhile, his chart-topping album, "The 20/20 Experience", is competing for Favorite Album in both Pop/Rock and Soul/R&B categories.
This year's American Music Awards will be broadcast live from the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live on ABC on November 24 at 08:00 P.M.. Miley Cyrus and Imagine Dragons are set to perform at the annual show. Additional acts and presenters will be announced in the coming weeks.
Fans are encouraged to vote for this year's winners on American Music Awards' website. Online voting begins on Thursday, October 10.
