Joseph Callahan, who reportedly said that he made a bomb intended to Richards, is charged with illegal possession of explosives, reckless endangerment and manufacture of bombs.

AceShowbiz - A man who lives 10 miles away from Keith Richards' home in Connecticut has been arrested. The man, 69-year-old Joseph Callahan, reportedly told the police that he made a bomb for the guitarist of The Rolling Stones.
According to CT Post, Callahan called the police on October 1, saying that someone broke into his house. Police officers who responded to the report searched the house and found 142 guns, 112 explosive devices as well as 100 pounds of ammonium nitrate.
"That's the chemical used in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing," Callahan reportedly explained. According to the police, Callahan also said that playing with explosives was his hobby and he was making a bomb to give it to the legendary guitarist.
The retired alchemist was taken into custody and placed on a 72-hour psychiatric hold. On Monday, he was charged with with 112 counts of illegal possession of explosives, six counts of first-degree reckless endangerment and one count of the manufacture of bombs. He is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday, October 16.
During investigation, Callahan told the officers that he took various prescription medications. Callahan's lawyer Richard Meehan said that he had not seen the arrest report, adding that his client "is a delightful gentleman who never had any intention to make a bomb and never intended to hurt anybody."
