West was offended when Kimmel spoofed his interview with BBC Radio 1's Zane Lowe, wherein the "Black Skinhead" rapper declared himself the "biggest" rock star in the world. In the sketch aired on Kimmel's talk show, he replaced West and Lowe with two kids drinking milkshakes.

West took to Twitter to express his anger, writing, "Jimmy Kimmel, I don't take it as a joke... You don't have s***bags hopping over fences trying to take pictures of your daughter. Jimmy Kimmel, put yourself in my shoes... oh no that means you would have gotten too much good p***y in your life. You can't put yourself in my shoes. Your face looks crazy... Is that funny? Or if I had a kid say it would it be funny???"

Later on his show, Kimmel explained to his audience, "He is very angry because of a bit we aired this week. He gave an interview to the BBC, and we had a kid actor take the words and re-enact it. We just had the kid say the stuff Kanye said. And apparently this upset him." He jokingly said, "Finally, I'm in a rap feud. I always wanted to be in a rap feud."

The comedian also revealed that West gave him two choices, the first being to "apologize publicly." He added, "And that was really the only choice -- the other choice he gave was 'my life ... your life is going to be much better if I apologize,' and then he started tweeting today."
