The 'Castle' actor will play a politically savvy head custodian, who will face off against Annie and Professor Hickey in their attempt to navigate Greendale's corridors of power.

AceShowbiz - Nathan Fillion has landed a role on one of his favorite shows, "Community". The title character depicter on police procedural series "Castle" will guest star in an upcoming fifth season of the cult comedy, Deadline reports.

According to the site, Fillion will play Bob Waite, a politically savvy head custodian whom Annie (Alison Brie) and Professor Hickey (guest star Jonathan Banks) must contend with when they team up to navigate Greendale's corridors of power. Waite is not afraid to get his hands dirty but is smart enough to wear rubber gloves. There's still no word when the episode airs.

The former "Firefly" star is never shy of showing his fondness for the NBC sitcom, having visited the set several times and posted pictures from the set on his WhoSay account. "It's my #community dream come true!" he wrote in a caption of a photo taken last year featuring him and the "Community" cast members.

Despite currently headlining a crime drama series, Fillion is no stranger to comedy. He was cast on ABC's sitcom "Two Guys and a Girl" before landing a lead role on Joss Whedon's "Firefly".
