The long-delayed new single, which is teased in an ad for Bieber's fragrance, is expected to arrive on Sunday, October 6, at midnight.

AceShowbiz - Justin Bieber has finally given his highly-anticipated new single, "Heartbreaker", a release date. The 19-year-old singer took to Twitter on Wednesday, October 2, to announce that the track would arrive this Sunday, October 6, at midnight.

"Sunday Midnight #heartbreaker #MusicMondays #10weeks," Bieber wrote. His manager, Scooter Braun, weighed in. He posted the artwork of Bieber's "Heartbreaker" and tweeted, "So it begins.... #sunday #midnight #10weeks #musicmondays - expect the unexpected."

It has been several months since Bieber announced "Heartbreaker" as his new single. In July, Bieber teased the track in the commercial for his fragrance, The Key.

Last summer, Braun said that the long-awaited single would end the "witch hunt" against Bieber, who has been finding himself in the news for speeding, spitting, brawling and anything else but his music.

"We're hoping the witch hunt's gonna end when he just speaks for himself in the music," Braun told MTV News in late June. "And we're gonna do it in a way that's very, very unique, so when you see 'Heartbreaker,' know it's coming directly from him and don't think [of] the normal 'Oh this is my single and this is going to be on the album' [rollout], realize there's gonna be a very unique way of how this music is going to be released unlike we've seen before from him."
