The 'Easy A' actress has been moved to a rehab facility in Malibu and 'is making great strides towards recovery.'

AceShowbiz - Amanda Bynes has left the UCLA Medical Center, after one month of staying at the hospital, her family's attorney Tamar Arminak confirms. The 27-year-old actress reportedly departed the Los Angeles medical center about three weeks ago for The Canyon, a rehab facility in Malibu.

"Upon recommendation by the skilled healthcare professionals at UCLA Medical Center, Amanda is receiving specialized treatment in a private facility outside of Los Angeles. Amanda is making great strides towards recovery," her parents issue a statement through their lawyer.

"The entire Bynes family would like to ask that they be given some measure of privacy so they can focus on Amanda's health and well-being. The Bynes family would also like to thank all of Amanda's supporters and well-wishers for their thoughts and prayers during this difficult time."

Rumor has it, the former child actress was paranoid about paparazzi and avoided other patients. "She was scared, afraid and did not leave her immediate room area," Arminak dishes on to TMZ. Without specifically naming the new facility where she's now, the lawyer adds, "She is getting specialized psych care, one on one treatment, not drug rehab."

The Canyon is a secluded celebrity-friendly recovery center where Brooke Mueller was once treated. But the former wife of Charlie Sheen later filed a lawsuit, accusing an employee at the facility of disclosing confidential information about her stay there.

Bynes, 27, was put on an involuntary 5150 psychiatric hold in July after setting a fire on a stranger's driveway near her family's home in Thousand Oaks, California. She was initially treated at Hillmont Psychiatric Center in Ventura, California before being moved to UCLA.

Her parents were granted contemporary conservatorship to oversee her financial and legal affairs as well as her well beings shortly after the campfire incident, which was preceded by a series of erratic behaviors including multiple traffic violations.

A conservatorship hearing was held at Ventura County Juvenile Court House in Oxnard, California on Monday, September 30. The troubled star's parents are now seeking to withdraw their petition for permanent conservatorship for a more restrictive LPS conservatorship.

The LPS order is an involuntary mental health conservatorship stronger than the probate court conservatorship mandated by the state law. It allows the parents to work closely with doctors to force patient to take medications and stay in a locked facility.

Just last week, Bynes was claimed to be mentally unfit to stand trial. She was supposed to appear in a Los Angeles courtroom for a DUI case stemming from her April 2012 arrest, but her lawyer said she did not have the mental capacity to fully comprehend the nature of the legal proceedings.

Her case was subsequently transferred to the mental health court for evaluation to determine her mental capacity, although the case remained criminal in the interim.
