Loraq, the young scion of an ancient Meereenese family who crosses paths with Daenerys Targaryen, will be introduced in season 4 of the HBO series.

AceShowbiz - "Game of Thrones" adds another actor to its cast ensemble for season 4. The show has tapped British actor Joel Fry ("10,000 B.C.") to take on the key role of Hizdahr zo Loraq. The character is described as the "young scion of an ancient Meereenese family who crosses paths with Daenerys Targaryen."

In George R.R. Martin's "A Song of Ice and Fire" novel series, Loraq is introduced in the fifth book "A Dance with Dragons". The upcoming season 4 of the HBO show is largely based on the fourth book "A Feast for Crows", but since Daenerys doesn't appear in the fourth book, it's likely that her story from book 5 will be brought into the next installment of the TV series.

Daenerys has conquered two of three great Slaver Cities of Slaver's Bay across the Narrow Sea, Astapor and Yunkai. Meereen, the largest of the three cities, will be her next destination before she heads to Westeros to claim the Iron Throne.

Season 4 of "Game of Thrones" is currently in production in several locations, including Belfast, Croatia and Iceland. Kit Harington, who plays Jon Snow, tells Access Hollywood that the next chapter has more deaths than ever before.

Previously added to the cast line-up for the fourth season are Pedro Pascal as Prince Oberyn Martell a.k.a.Red Viper, Indira Varma as Red Viper's love interest, Mark Gatiss as Tycho Nestoris and Michiel Huisman, whose role is still kept secret. Indie band Sigur Ros will make appearance on the show as well.
