A former nanny, who claims that she was not paid overtime and forced to work without break, has sued Morissette for $30,000 in unpaid wages and $100,000 in damages.

AceShowbiz - A nanny, who worked for Alanis Morissette from August 2011 to March 2013, has sued the singer and her husband Mario 'Souleye' Treadway after they allegedly did not pay overtime. The nanny, Bianca Cambeiro, also claims that she was forced to work on 12-hour shift without a break.

According to a TMZ report, Cambeiro claims that she was ordered to stay in the baby's room during her shift even if the baby boy was sleeping. Cambeiro, who worked at 9 P.M. until 9 A.M. for 3 or 4 times a week, says that she was not allowed to take a break to eat. She might leave the room when one of the baby's parents was in the room or the day-shift nanny replaced her.

According to document filed in Los Angeles on Thursday, September 26, Cambeiro seeks $30,000 in unpaid wage and $100,000 in damage. Cambeiro says that she suffered emotional distress.

Morissette and her rapper husband tied the knot in May 2010 after dating for a year. The singer announced that she was expecting a baby in August in the same year, writing on Twitter, "Yes, happy news. I'm pregnant :) We're so excited to start our family."

The "Ironic" singer gave birth to a baby boy on Christmas Day. The couple named their son Ever Imre Morissette-Treadway. "All are healthy and happy," a representative for the 39-year-old singer said back then.
