The rock band says that they have to change the song title into 'Lean' after the film's producers think that the original title, 'Dying Is Easy', is 'too dark.'

AceShowbiz - The National revealed that they made a contribution to the soundtrack of upcoming movie "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire". NME reported that the band had recorded a song for the film, which is the second installment of "The Hunger Games" trilogy.

The track was originally titled "Dying Is Easy". However, the band had to retitle it after the film's producers thought the title was "too dark." "The song almost didn't make it because it was too dark for 'The Hunger Games' soundtrack, which I thought was sort of funny because It's about killing kids, I don't know how a song can be darker than that?" The National's frontman, Matt Berninger, said.

"So we had to change the name of the song; I actually like the name 'Lean'," he continued. Despite the title refusal, Bernigner admitted to having fun with the project.

"It was a really fun project... It was a cool change from how we normally work on things - to write something for something else. It was kind of a pressure release thing and it was fun, we really enjoyed it," he added.

"The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" is set to hit U.S. theaters on November 22. British band Coldplay has also made a contribution to the film's soundtrack with "Atlas".
