AceShowbiz - Russian-German electronic music producer and DJ Zedd premieres a music video of "Stay the Night", his electro-pop collaboration with Paramore's lead vocalist Hayley Williams. The track appears as the lead single on the deluxe edition of Zedd's debut album "Clarity", set to hit stores on September 24.
The three-and-a-half-minute clip features Zedd on the piano as Williams whips out her new rocking hair do as she takes on the verses, turning from a rock singer to dance diva. A young couple, who initially shares an awkward moment on the couch, provides the dancing in the video, in sequences that eventually spark their relationship again and rekindle their romance.
Daniel Cloud Campos, who helmed Paramore's "Now" music video earlier this year, directs the artistic visuals, using contemporary dance and a lot of flashing lights to depict the irony of separation and attraction. Zedd himself described the filming of the clip as "quite simple but very effective" in a previously released behind-the-scenes look.
As a producer, Zedd contributed three new tracks to Lady GaGa's forthcoming album "ARTPOP". They are "(Girl Under You)", "Aura" and "Donatella". Last year, one of his outstanding accomplishments was his work with Max Martin on Justin Bieber's "Beauty and a Beat", off his third studio album "Believe". As an artist/DJ, Zedd is currently on a North American club tour.
