The 'Community' and 'Hangover' actor will reportedly star on a new multi-camera comedy, 'Dr. Ken', loosely based on his life as a medical school graduate.

AceShowbiz - Ken Jeong may get the spotlight on a new NBC show. The Ben Chang of cult comedy "Community" scores a lead role on sitcom "Dr. Ken", which has been snagged by the Peacock with a significant penalty, Deadline reports.
The multi-camera comedy written by "The Internship" scribe Jared Stern will revolve around Jeong's real-life experience as a licensed physician, before he works as a comedy actor. Stern, John Davis and John Fox will executive produce the show with Jeong as co-executive producer.
Jeong obtained his M.D. degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1995. He completed his internal medicine residency at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans while developing his stand-up comedy and is now a licensed physician in the state of California. His film debut as Dr. Kuni in Judd Apatow's "Knocked Up" was deemed to be his breakout performance.
The 44-year-old funnyman is currently a regular on NBC's "Community", which will return for its fifth and potentially last season in 2013-2014 midseason.
