AceShowbiz - John Legend and Chrissy Teigen are officially married. The longtime couple tied the knot in a private ceremony on Saturday, September 14 in front of family members and close friends at Villa Pizzo nestled into the hillside of Lake Como, Italy. Pictures of the two swapping vows have spread on the internet.

The groom looked dashing in his designer suit with a white bowtie, while his blushing bride stunned in an ivory Vera Wang strapless V-neck ball gown with a lifted tulle skirt, a long train and a tiered flange with hand-cut petal embroidered details. She completed her bridal look with a long veil attached to her elegant chignon.

The pair swapped their self-penned vows on the balcony overlooking the picturesque views of the Lake Como. Teigen, holding a bouquet of white blooms, was walked down the aisle by her father. Serving as maid of honor was Brooklyn Decker. Other famous faces at the nuptials included Kanye West, Quincy Jones and Stevie Wonder.

The beautiful bride later changed into a mermaid ivory gown with micro pleated bodice and sheared organza full skirt for the reception, and a crimson strapless mermaid gown with hand-draped bodice and inverted flange skirt with embroidered crystal wheat detail for the after party. Both were also Vera Wang creations.

The guests enjoyed delicious Italian cheese, prosciutto and cured meat appetizers, as well as truffle risotto, pasta and a beef dish. According to PEOPLE, they were also treated to a live performance by Wonder. The music icon was walked to the piano by West and performed "Ribbon in the Sky" for the special occasion.

Following the dinner, the groom played the piano to serenade his new wife with an emotional rendition of "All of Me", a song in his album that he specially wrote for her. "He writes a lot of love songs, but this one is specifically about me, so it makes it more special," Teigen told PEOPLE in May. "My Dad even cries when I play it for him in the car."

Biz Markie was tapped as the DJ, and Teigen was brought to tears once again when a Beyonce Knowles song was played. "I know I love beyonce but I didn't realize how much I loved beyonce until the dj played 'love on top' and I cry danced," she tweeted, after earlier writing, "Phew. I gotta say, that was a hard secret to keep from you guys."

To her close friend, sports journalist Erin Andrews, who was absent due to work commitment, she wrote, "We missed the poop out of you. Football RUINS LIVES." Responding to the outpouring congratulations, she tweeted, "Too many kind words flooding in. I was serious when I said it was a difficult thing not to share live with you. Love you guys."

Her new husband also took to social media to share their joy with fans by posting a series of pictures from their nuptials. One features his beautiful bride in her wedding dress, another displays them gazing at each other with her wearing a mermaid gown, and the third one shows him sitting in a co-called "pre-gaming with the groomsmen."

Legend, 34, and Teigen, 27, were engaged during a vacation in Maldives in 2011 after dating for around four years. On their sixth anniversary last year, the Sport Illustrated Swimsuit model said they were as in love as they had ever been. "He still amazes me, loves me, frustrates me as much as he did years ago," she gushed on her blog.

Legend was also just as smitten by her as she was by him. "She's beautiful, smart, funny," the Grammy-winning singer/songwriter once said in an interview. "She loves to cook. She loves to eat. She's awesome." He additionally stated, "I guess you're supposed to get nervous before you get married but I feel good."

Due to their hectic schedules, the couple let the wedding planner take complete control of the event. "[John] and I have been working and traveling so much that we just let our wedding planner do everything," she told PEOPLE in May. "We're not neurotic about it. I just want to finally see all of my friends in one area."

"In my mind it's just like an explosion of ideas, but on paper it is just absolutely nothing," she told E! News. "I'll tell you this - the ceremony will be short." She added in a separate interview, "My jitters come from the dumbest things, like, 'Oh my God, there are a few steps I have to go down. I'm having these little nightmares [that] I'm going to fall."

When it came to her wedding gown, she wanted something that was "kind of [having] a sexier feel at the top, like a swimsuit." "So I have to get my body ready. I have to buckle down," she added. How did she end up with three Vera Wang dresses? "Every time I went in [to Vera Wang] for a fitting, I couldn't stop getting one," she explained. "It's just too pretty."
