The British musician says the title track of his upcoming new album is about ' young people becoming successful and diving off into the unknown.'

AceShowbiz - Sir Elton John revealed that he wrote a song for his album, "The Diving Board", with troubled star Lindsay Lohan in mind. The British singer said that the title track of his upcoming new record was inspired by the former Disney star's rise and fall in maintaining her career in Hollywood.

"It could be a summation of my career because it's about young people becoming successful and diving off into the unknown," John explained the song. "What's going to happen? Are they going to survive it? Are they going to become victims of their own success? Are other people going to prey on them and destroy them?"

"You could actually say it's about me," the 66-year-old musician continued. "But I was thinking about Lindsay Lohan when I was writing it."

"I hate to think of Lindsay because she has a talent, she was a great actress, and then it became all about the madness, the parties and everyone forgets about what put them there in the first place - they get lost in the idea that they are famous for who they are, not what they are," John added.

Lohan has recently completed a 90-day rehab stint. She was ordered to check into a rehab facility after having several run-ins with the law and admitting to using drugs.

Marking John's first album in seven years, "The Diving Board" will be available in the U.S. on September 24.
