The Duchess of Cambridge looks stunning in a sparkling sequined Jenny Packham dress as she walks the red carpet with Prince William at the Tusk Conservation Awards.

AceShowbiz - Duchess of Cambridge makes her first red carpet appearance since giving birth to baby Prince George in July. She accompanied her husband Prince William at the Tusk Conservation Awards, an event which honors conservation heroes, at the Royal Society in London on Thursday, September 12.

At the formal event, Kate Middleton wore a sparkling sequined Jenny Packham dress and matching sandals. The dress, which flaunted her slim post-baby body, is estimated to cost about $6,300.

Prince William, who spoke to several influent figures in wildlife conservation, was asked about Prince George by Gabon President Ali Bongo Ondimba. "We've left him at home for the first time," Prince William said. The new father added, "Thank you for all you've been doing." When asked who Prince George looked like, Prince William replied, "Like most babies, he's got a mix of both of us."

The proud father also talked about baby Prince George in his speech. "As you might have gathered, Catherine and I have recently become proud parents - of a baby who has a voice to match any lion's roar!" he said, as quoted by Daily Mirror. "This is actually our first evening out without him, so please excuse us if you see us nervously casting cheeky glances at our mobile phones to check all is well back home."

Prince William, who is passionate about saving endangered animals, called the possibility of animal extinction "very scary." He has joined David Beckham and former NBA player Yao Ming on behalf of WildAid organization to speak out against the trade of wildlife products in two public services announcements. The videos will air later in 2013 as part of WildAid's campaign.
