AceShowbiz - The Kennedy Center's 16th annual ceremony for the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor will be an event full of jokes. The performing arts center announces that comediennes Tina Fey, Maya Rudolph and Amy Poehler are set to honor the award recipient, Carol Burnett, at the upcoming October 20 ceremony.

Singer Tony Bennett and veteran actress Julie Andrews are going to pay tribute to the legendary comic as well. They are joined by Martin Short, Rosemary Watson, Lucie Arnaz, Tim Conway, Rashida Jones and Vicki Lawrence in the star-studded line-up of celebrity guests.

Burnett will be celebrated at the annual ceremony, where she will receive the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor. "I can't believe I'm getting a humor prize from the Kennedy Center. It's almost impossible to be funnier than the people in Washington," the 80-year-old actress/singer said of being chosen as this year's winner.

The celebratory gala will broadcast on November 24 as "Carol Burnett: The Kennedy Center Mark Twain Prize" on PBS stations nationwide.
