Rumor has it, the 'Applause' singer will return as musical guest and host in the upcoming season of the NBC variety series.

AceShowbiz - Lady GaGa is set make her third trip to "Saturday Night Live" this coming fall, TVLine reports. The Monster ringleader, who is gearing up to release her third studio album "ARTPOP", is said to pull double duty as musical guest and host on the show's 39th season.

A representative for NBC declines to comment on the news though, insisting that the long-running late-night series has not finalized its fall line-up. A source previously gave the same reason when denying report that Lindsay Lohan had been tapped to host the show's upcoming season premiere.

Should GaGa sign up to return to "SNL" this fall, it will mark her third visit to the show. She previously served as musical guest in 2009 and 2011 for the episodes hosted by Ryan Reynolds and Justin Timberlake respectively. She was featured in several sketches on both occasions.

While waiting for the official announcement of GaGa's rumored appearance on "SNL", fans can tune into the the 27-year-old singer's interview with Andy Cohen on Bravo's "Watch What Happens: Live". The "Born This Way" songstress is slated to stop by the talk show on Wednesday, September 11.
