Along with the premiere date announcement, Katy reveals a poster of the music video featuring her channeling her inner queen of jungle.

AceShowbiz - Katy Perry announces due date of her "Roar" music video. "The #Roar music video is coming to you in junglescope Sept 5th!" so she reveals along with a retro poster that shows her swinging a la Tarzan with one hand holding a spear. On the background are her wild animal pals and a man who can possibly be her male on-screen interest.

"Roar" is the lead single off Katy's next studio installment "Prism". Although the song was a huge success on the chart, it was met with criticisms for bearing resemblance to Sara Bareilles' "Brave". Despite the similarities between their works, Sara assured that they both were "on great terms and there's no issue there."

"Katy's a friend of mine and we've known each other a really long time, so she even texted me about it and we went back and forth," Sara explained to ABC News Radio. "The shame that I feel that's happened is that it's become a drama. It's putting this negative spin on two artists that are choosing to share positive messages." She continued with a laugh, "If I'm not mad I don't know why anybody else is upset. I'm like, 'Relax, let's just celebrate that we can be out there and encouraging people to, like, feel strong and empowered.' "

Katy herself said back in May that "Brave" was indeed one of her favorite songs. "Tonight at Staples was an absolute DREAM," she tweeted. "@SaraBareilles came out to sing 'Brave', one of my favorite songs. And she completely smashed it!!"

Sara's single, after a slow start, shot up the iTunes chart amidst controversies surrounding the plagiarism claim.
