'My Five Wives', which will premiere on September 15, centers on a polygamist family that left the Mormon Church in protest of its conservative beliefs.

AceShowbiz - Following the success of "Sister Wives", TLC is going to introduce another polygamous family through a one-hour special, "My Five Wives". Taking the issue to a whole new level, this family says they are polygamous by choice and not just religious doctrine.
To premiere Sunday, September 15 at 9/8c, the upcoming show follows Brady Williams, his five wives and their total of 24 children who live outside of Salt Lake City. They believe in all kinds of progressive ideas they don't share with the Mormon Church, including equality for everyone and a God who accepts all people. Hence, they left the Mormon Church.
Despite currently billed as a one-hour special, "My Five Wives" may get a series pick-up should it garner big ratings.
The cable channel has enjoyed ratings success with "Sister Wives", which centers on a polygamist family consisting of patriarch Kody Brown, his four wives, and their 17 children. Brown considers his marriages, other than his legal marriage to his first wive Meri, spiritual unions. The family has moved from Lehi, Utah to Las Vegas, Nevada. The show is currently in its fourth season, which premiered July 21.
