Tom Hiddleston and Fans Support James Spader's Ultron Casting
Movie

Spader will reunite with Robert Downey Jr. in 'Avengers 2' after starring in 'Less Than Zero' and 'Tuff Turf'.

AceShowbiz - Unlike Ben Affleck's Batman casting which was met with negative responses from fans, the announcement about James Spader's inclusion in "Avengers: Age of Ultron" receives positive reception. Tom Hiddleston, who will not reprise his villain role as Loki in the next "Avengers" pic, is among the well-wishers.

"Go on, James Spader. Go get 'em. @Avengers #AgeOfUltron," the British star tweets. Marvel fans also storm the social media site to give supportive messages to the Emmy-winning actor, who will be the titular villain. "Ooh! what a great bad villain he'll make!" one of many excited fans writes on Twitter.

Spader will join forces with Robert Downey Jr., who returns as Iron Man. It is not the first time, though, for them after having starred together in "Less Than Zero" and "Tuff Turf". Movieweb points out that the latter, a 1985 film from director Fritz Kiersch, even had already predicted that the two would do an "Avenger" movie.

In the movie, there is a scene when both actors, still in their young age, stand against a wall spray-painted with something that reads, "The New Avengers!", a coincidence that surely will bring smile on a Marvel fan's face.

Directed and penned by Joss Whedon, "Avengers 2" is scheduled to open on May 1, 2015.
