AceShowbiz - David Letterman brought back the first guest of his "Late Show" on the show's 20th anniversary. Bill Murray, who appeared on Letterman's first "Late Show" broadcast on August 30, 1993, returned on Thursday, August 29 to help celebrate the show's milestone.
Murray made sure his latest visit to the CBS talk show unforgettable, making a grand entrance in a white vintage Rolls-Royce. When he stepped out out the car, it's apparent that he channeled the flamboyant pianist Liberace as he donned an all-white outfit complete with a cape and held a puppy.
When Letterman said he didn't know that Murray had a dog, the "Moonrise Kingdom" star stayed in character and replied, "I had to get something that went with this outfit." The 62-year-old comedian also told the audience he didn't have time for them "tonight" because he was there only for Letterman.
According to a press release, Murray also prepared a billboard for the occasion and a time capsule full of "artifacts."
