The 'London Bridge' hitmaker gave birth via a scheduled C-section at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles.

AceShowbiz - Fergie and Josh Duhamel are now officially proud parents to a baby boy. The Black Eyed Peas female member gave birth to her first child with her actor hubby via a planned C-section on Thursday, August 29 at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles.

The singer, who just officially changed her name from Stacy Ferguson to Fergie Duhamel, stayed in one of the V.I.P suites used by celebrities like Kim Kardashian. They name the baby, who weighed in at 7 lbs. 10 oz. at time of birth, Axl Jack Duhamel.

It's apparently taken after the lead singer of one of Fergie's favorite bands, Guns N' Roses. "Some of my biggest vocal idols are rock and roll. I mean Sebastian Bach, Vince Neil, Axl Rose, Robert Plant" she once said. "These are people that I have emulated vocally."

"I saw Guns N' Roses and Metallica when I was in high school. I have been a fan of theirs for years. [The Black Eyed Peas] actually got to perform with them in Australia. We became friends with them because we always went to their after parties, too."

Fergie and Josh were married in 2009, after five years of dating. They announced her pregnancy back in February. A few days ago, the couple visited dog whisperer Cesar Millan to prepare their furry pet for the upcoming addition to the family.

"We do have a bag ready but just not here," Josh said of their preparation for the baby when attending the red carpet of his newest film "Scenic Route". "We have enough [diapers] to last us probably the first week. It fills up the whole closet. Apparently they poop a lot."
