The 'Magic Mike' actor is said to have read for an unknown role while the 'Peter Pan' actress allegedly went in for Princess Leia's daughter.

AceShowbiz - Another casting speculation about "Star Wars Episode 7" has emerged. This time around, Latino Review claims to know which actors have auditioned for roles in the much-anticipated sci-fi movie, which will be directed by J.J. Abrams. Based on what they have learned, Alex Pettyfer and Rachel Hurd-Wood are the actors lining up for a chance to star in the pic.

Pettyfer, whose credits include "I Am Number Four" and "Magic Mike", reportedly went in for a role that might be "[Luke] Skywalker's son now that [Ryan] Gosling has declined." As for Hurd-Wood, the Wendy Darling of "Peter Pan" has read for the role of Princess Leia's daughter.

The site adds that there will be many other young talented actresses going for a meeting, so Hurd-Wood does not have the coveted role yet. Lucasfilm will reportedly announce major casting news, not related to the recent report, "very soon."

Following tradition, the new installment is set to be filmed in Britain and expected to grace big screens in 2015. Michael Arndt will write the script, with Kathleen Kennedy, George Lucas, Bryan Burk and director Abrams serving as producers.
