The 'Just Give Me a Reason' singer breaks her own record, which she sets after selling out 17 shows at Melbourne's Rod Laver Arena in 2009.

AceShowbiz - Pink has broken record in Melbourne during her Truth About Love world tour. The "Just Give Me a Reason" singer has sold out 18 shows at Melbourne's Rod Laver Arena, beating her own record that she set after selling out 17 shows at the same venue during her 2009's Funhouse tour.

"It's been incredible," Pink said of the new record. "I'm usually having an out of body experience where I'm observing everything. It's hard to take it all in, I'm sure in five years I'll look back at this and realize how insane it is."

"The 18th show in Melbourne has definitely been a highlight. But every night is a highlight. You look out in the crowd and there's so much genuine love. It's not bulls**t. There's people there from two years old to 72 years old. It's awesome," she added.

Pink also received and signed a plaque which is permanently affixed to one of the poles inside the arena. "I'm overwhelmed with all the love and positivity Melbourne/Australia/Rod Laver Arena. Two poles! A star! A plaque!" she tweeted and captioned a picture of her and daughter Willow signing the plaque.

"This has been an unforgettable experience for my family and I. We love you right back... Thank you thank you.Lets break this record y'all...," she added.

The Australian leg of Pink's The Truth About Love tour has 46 arena shows, including the 18 shows in Melbourne. A new Melbourne show on August 26 was added by promoter Live Nation Australia to manage the "sustained unrelenting demand."

Pink's Truth About Love tour has sold over 500,000 tickets, 200,000 of which were sold in Melbourne alone. Currently, there's no other artist has played to more people in Melbourne on one tour.
