AceShowbiz - A new teaser for VH1's "Crazy, Sexy, Cool: The TLC Story" was debuted during the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards. While the previous promo video highlighted the group's heyday, this one inserts glimpses of the girls' personal issues in between scenes of them enjoying their stardom.
Lisa Lopes a.k.a. Lopes' (played by Lil' Mama) relationship with then-Atlanta Falcon player Andre Rison is one of the highlights in this preview. Their rocky romance led to the burnt of Rison's mansion in 1994 after Lopes set fire to Rison's tennis shoes in a bathtub.
The biopic, directed by Charles Stone III, chronicles the R&B trio's rise during the '90s, from humble beginnings in Atlanta to worldwide fame and fortune to Lopes's death in 2002. Keke Palmer and Drew Sidora portray Rozonda Thomas a.k.a. Chilli and Tionne Watkins a.k.a. T-Boz respectively in the TV movie, which is set to premiere on October 22.
The R'n'B/hip-hop girl group, now consisting of Chilli and T-Boz, has been working on their new album. The surviving two members attended the MTV VMAs which was held on Sunday, August 25.
