The Mother Monster says that the song called 'Donatella' is 'about being a fearless female' and 'walking the walk no matter what.'

AceShowbiz - Lady GaGa's upcoming "ARTPOP" album will feature a song called "Donatella". In an interview with JustJared.com, the Mother Monster said that the song was a "love letter" she wrote to the 58-year-old Italian fashion designer, Donatella Versace.

" 'Donatella' is my love letter to Donatella [Versace]," she told the site on Friday afternoon, August 23. "The song is an incredible crazy fun pop song with really raising electronic beats that I did with [producer] Zedd."

The "Applause" singer went on describing the track, saying, "It's about being a fearless female and not caring what people say about you -being proud of who you are and walking the walk no matter what."

GaGa refused to compare her "Donatella" to Jay-Z's "Tom Ford", a tribute to the designer that is featured in the rapper's "Magna Carta... Holy Grail". "No, it's not so much about Donatella as a brand as it is Donatella the person, about me as a person, that idea of what the public wants from you," GaGa explained.

In what might be the song's lyrics, GaGa continued, "Donatella, maybe she's a b**ch, maybe she's too skinny, maybe she's too rich, maybe she's too out there. Or, maybe she's brilliant, maybe she's intelligent, maybe she's strong, maybe she's everything, maybe she's Donatella."
