AceShowbiz - Zayn Malik and his fiancee Perrie Edwards speak out after their engagement was confirmed. Both of the singers wrote on Twitter to express their happiness and thank fans for their support.
The One Direction member wrote on Friday, August 23, "Never been more happy in my life ! Thank you to everyone that has been so lovely about my engagement to my beautiful fiancee ! Big love z X." Via Little Mix's Twitter account, Perry said, "I've also never felt so happy! :). Thank you everyone for being so kind and supportive! I'm a lucky girl! xD I Love you all! Perrie."
Before writing on her group's Twitter page, Perrie gushed over her 3-diamond sparkler to her best friend Katherine Spires. Katherine posted collage photos of her and Perrie on August 22. In the photos, Perrie can be seen showing off the ring on her ring finger and the two make funny faces to the camera.
Perrie's mother Debbie Duffy confirmed her daughter's engagement earlier this week. "It's official. I'm over the moon. They are really in love," she told Dorset Echo newspaper. The couple, however, did not want to rush their marriage. "No plans yet!" Zayn told Matt Lauer during an appearance on "Today" show on August 23.
