Movie

The next installment in the Jack Sparrow film series is reportedly 'Pirates of Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales'.

AceShowbiz - Out of many possible cool names directors Joachim Ronning and Espen Sandberg can come up, a famous line from a Disneyland attraction is reportedly chosen as the official name of their next film, "Pirates of the Caribbean 5". According to a report from This Is Infamous, the new title is "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales".

Aside from the said revelation, the site's interview with the "Kon-Tiki" helmers does not reveal much information on the project, except that the script is still being worked on. Both Norwegian filmmakers will direct the the fifth installment from a screenplay provided by Jeff Nathanson, whose credits include Tom Hanks' movies "Catch Me If You Can" and "The Terminal".

The next "Pirates of Caribbean" movie will bring back Jerry Bruckheimer as the producer and Johnny Depp as the Captain Jack Sparrow depicter. Depp, who recently hinted that his retirement from acting might be "probably not too far away," surely hopes he can reclaim his fleeting glory through this franchise, considered one of the highest-grossing franchises of all time.

Depp has had tough times with his recent movies "Dark Shadows" and "The Lone Ranger" failing to find box-office success. For the latter's failure, he blames U.S. critics who gave the Western film poor reviews.

"I think the reviews were written seven to eight months before we even released the film," Depp says to Yahoo! UK Movies. "They had expectations that it must be a blockbuster. I didn't have any expectations of that. I never do."
